Boo at the Zoo

Last weekend, we took Ellis to "Boo at the Zoo," a Halloween party at the National Zoo. Ellis previewed her Halloween costume (Mike made the broom).

I kept this picture because it reminds me to log when Ellis started biting her nails, which was this summer.  Apparently, I started at about the same age.  Of all the things that she could inherit from me, this is the trait she gets?  Ugh, I am so sorry, Ellis.  It took me 30 years to get it under control -- not defeat it, get it under control.

Ellis' friend Claire joined us at the zoo.  There is a lot of cute in this picture.

A quick bonus costume.  I loved dress up when I was a kid, so I figured Ellis would too.  This Supergirl costume was a huge hit.
