Panda Jack

Today we got together with Jack, who went to Just Us Kids with Ellis.  We refer to him as Panda Jack because he was in the panda room with Ellis, and to differentiate him from Josh and Sue's Jack.  Well, Panda Jack just became a big brother -- his little sister Zoe arrived almost exactly 2 weeks ago.  I snuggled with her for almost an hour.  Heaven.

When Anders was brand new, the thing we found most helpful was when people took Ellis out to play with a friend, letting her have fun, wearing her out and giving us a little break.  So we offered to do the same for Jack and his parents, Josh and Stephanie.  The one problem Mike and I had was that we were having so much fun chatting with Jack's parents, we almost forgot to take Jack and Ellis out.  Kid fun - adult fun.  Kid fun - adult fun.  Sigh, kid fun.

We headed to the Mall, starting with lunch at the National Museum of the American Indian.  There was a bit of an argument at lunch about who was going to marry Ellis.  She said Lucas at first.  Jack said it would be him.  Ellis eventually agreed it would be Jack, but only when they were older.  Jack agreed saying, "Yeah, when we're older.  When I'm five."  Sounds like a ripe old age to me.
Then we hit the carousel and ran around.  It was Jack's first time on the carousel, and he loved it.  As we started our first of four rides, Jack and Ellis were whopping and hollering, and Jack turned to me and said, "Can we do this bunches of times?"  I said, "Sure can."

Then they pooped out, which was the whole point.

These kids played so well together, I really can't wait to get them together again.  And next time, I hope we can send the kids off to play with toys and get more time with Josh and Stephanie.  They really are loads of fun.
