New Couch and Updates

We bought a new couch a couple of years ago. It was built in NC, which we loved, and a good deal, which we really loved. Turns out it sucked and fell apart because we had cats...and because we sat on it. So we did better this time and went to Room and Board. Our couch was built in Minnesota, which we love, and is not quite such a good deal, which is okay because it is really nice.

A couple of Anders updates:

• He has started reaching for me, and even has begun to show a bit of a preference for me and Mike.
• He also gives hugs around the neck.  Sometimes he will grab our cheeks, pull us toward him and then give a huge, very slobbery baby kiss.  It is so shockingly intentional.
• He just clocked in at 19 lbs, 7 ounces and 27 inches.  That puts him in the 85th percentile for weight and 75th for length.  The doc also said that his strength in sitting up and standing is that of a 9 month old.  He also handled the 4 shots with aplomb.
• This poor baby's reflux is still awful.  It is so bad, he has coughing and sneezing fits that wake him up in pain at night. So we are trying new medicine and will attempt to introduce rice cereal with milk as soon as the right kind of bottles come in the mail.  He is being picky about trying solids and, considering how bad his reflux is, the doc thinks this would help at night. Cross your fingers.
