LSU at the White House

Thanks to an assist from Ben Franklin alum and longtime family friend, Kenyatta Robinson, Beth and Ellis went to the White House ceremony honoring the NCAA national championship team in football: the LSU fighting tigers...bah, bah, bah-dah (that was my written attempt at the Pregame song "Touchdown for LSU").
Beth and Ellis got a picture with Herman Johnson (top), the LSU offensive lineman who holds the record as the largest baby ever born in LA at 15 lbs, 14 oz. Ellis was 12 weeks today and she is only about 14 lbs. We feel for Herman's mom.

They also met Demetrius Byrd (bottom), a wide receiver. So dreamy... Beth told him what fun it was to watch him and the team play this year. But what she wanted to say was: "Do you have a map? Because I just keep on getting lost in your eyes." This picture is just a shadow of his hotness. You can't see much of Ellis, but frankly Beth is too busy staring at Demetrius (yeah, I said it...mmmmm, yummy).

He was also the subject of one of the funniest Sports Center pop culture references. When he caught an 80-something yard touchdown during the season, the anchor (can't remember which one) referenced one of our favorite Saturday Night Live skits -- Jackie Rogers Jr.'s $100,000 Jackpot Wad -- by saying: "Bird, sea bird." It is so funny if you've seen the skit but only 7 people nationwide got the joke...and Mike and Beth know all of them.
