First Swim

Lexa joined the Os for a trip to the pool by our friend Patti's house. The pool itself was really nice -- exactly what you are supposed to find in a leafy suburban community. It had a kids' pool and a kids' area that sloped into the main pool. Patti, her husband John, brother-in-law Jeremy and sister Betsy were wonderful hosts. Jeremy didn't even let a possibly broken toe get in the way of pool time and delivering pizza to the table.

Ellis was a bit overwhelmed by the experience. She didn't like the cool water and seemed a bit nervous about the whole thing. But she loved watching the big kids swim.
