Pneumonia
So we took sick Ellis to the Hailey Medical Clinic and found out she had pneumonia, but it was not serious enough to go to the hospital. We were told to give her a bunch of drugs and watch for certain warning signs. Unfortunately, those warning signs popped up at 3am.

So at 4am on Christmas Eve, Ellis was admitted to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center, a lovely facility that we are sad to say we got to know well over our 3.5 day stay.

Ellis needed a lot of extra oxygen in order to help her lungs recover. As she got healthier, she ripped it off regularly.
The nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists and dietary staff were all sweet, patient, kind and good at their jobs. We can't thank them enough for everything they did for our little Ellis (and for us).
The full story is in another post: Reflections on Ellis in the Hospital.
