Things Are Ducky

No, not this guy.

Ellis is becoming more adventurous about exploring the world around her (it helps that we're now out of winter or, as it is known in our house, being sick).

She especially likes animals -- she knows where all of the dogs in the neighborhood live and even bobbled down the street last weekend trying to catch a 120 pound Rottweiler ("Hello, Lunch!").

When Mike picked up Ellis at day care today, the ladies had left the following note:

Ellis had an awesome experience with the duck at the Sculpture Garden. She followed along the border of the pool as the duck swam around the pool. Ellis said as well as signed "duck." The duck approached Ellis and Ellis walked away in fear. The duck actually came out of the pool and followed Ellis to the strollers before it returned to the pool. Ellis then returned fearlessly to the border of the pool and called to the duck. The duck swam to the other side of the pool. But when it returned, Ellis was waiting. Ellis and the Sculpture Garden Duck became very good friends.
Dad, as many of you know, very much likes eating ducks. We'll wait to break that one to Ellis.
