Long Weekend

Ellis had a full weekend for Columbus Day Weekend. We went to the Natural History Museum, where we saw everything from dinosaurs to butterflies and Ellis got to pet a roach from Madagascar, which are prettier and less gross than our roaches.

On Sunday, we met up with friends at the zoo, where I got no pictures really of the kids but did get a good shot of the gorilla and her new baby.

Later that night, Ellis and I cheered Mike's soccer team on to a 6-6 tie. It was an odd game. Ellis spent most of the time digging in the mud.

After it was all over, she was pretty tired and cuddled with her mom on the couch.

Ok. I'm still trying to get over the fact that you called a roach "pretty." NO ROACH - I repeat: NO ROACH - is pretty. And you will NEVER convince me otherwise.

Also wanted to add that Ellis is cute. Should've led with that. I was just feeling a little shocked and overwhelmed by the roach thing. You understand.

For the record, I said they are pretty-ER than our roaches, not pretty. It is a low bar they had to clear.

"Less disgusting" would've been more appropriate. Even then I probably would've taken issue with it. But at least we can agree on your little person.
