LSU Shirt
We bought Ellis an LSU shirt big enough to get her through the season. It appears to be big enough to fit pads into, so Coach Miles should let her know when he needs her to suit up. The three of us went to a new grocery in a transitioning neighborhood in the Mount Vernon Square area of Washington. This area used to be truly seedy, but with the redevelopment (including a super fancy Safeway along with a Busboys and Poets, Results: the Gym and Taylor's Sandwiches) it is really nice.

Of course, this post was really to show a bunch of pictures of Ellis in her LSU t-shirt, but we have more to share. Our Ellis is learning so much so quickly, which is both exciting and leaves us a bit wistful. For example, she has started saying "elephant" instead of "epitant" and "zebra" instead of "brabra." Of course, we are happy she has learned so much, but the old way was very cute.

She has also begun trying to count from 1 to 10. She doesn't know what the numbers mean, but she likes to say them and cheer at 10. She sometimes gets distracted and says them in the wrong order. And other times she thinks she deserves some cheering for just getting to 6.
