Kentucky Derby

Every year, our friends have a Kentucky Derby party complete with hats, mint julips and a modest wager.  Ellis got very excited about the race and cheered for the 2 horses we bet on (neither of which placed).  But mostly, Ellis was excited about reading with Alastair.  What is remarkable about the picture with Ellis and Alastair sitting on Mike's lap is that they both sat there for as long as they did.  Mike went through a lot of books.
