More Pictures from Graduation Weekend
From Graduation itself, a trip to the Botanical Gardens and playing with blocks...
As long as I am posting some extra pictures, I might as well share a few Ellis stories of late.
1)We were passing by Union Station, which has the flags of the 50 states flying around it. Ellis says, "Look at the flags!" Then she stutters for a while and finally says, "The flags belong to President Obama."
2) She likes to spell her name. But she insists on using only one "l." She says E-L-I-S! Mike was trying to spell it right (with 2 l's) and Ellis says, "Daddy, don't spell it!" And then continues to spell it her way.
3) Big news: She tinkled on the potty for us for the 1st time last Tue. The did #1 and #2 on the potty for the babysitter. Since then she has cried when I suggest the potty, so we are going to back off a bit on the potty training. Ellis moves to the 2-year old class at daycare today, and we expect that the exposure to big kids using the potty will help.
4) Ellis informed me that she is 2-years old and then asked if I was old -- meaning how old am I. She asked, "Mommy, are you 3?" I said, "There is a 3 in Mommy's age. I'm 38." And then we counted to 38, which took so long, she lost interest.
