Jason, Fiona, & Alex

Mike recently cruised down to Johannesburg to visit life long friend and bosom pal Jason. Jason and his lovely and talented wife Fiona live in Swaziland where Fiona works in a pediatric AIDS clinic and Jason...not sure what Jason does, to be honest, I think he pretends to be Ernest Hemingway. Swaziland is real Africa, where goats roam the highways and creature comforts are relatively scarce. The most exciting thing to do in the capital of Mbabane is to watch the “Get Circumcised!” billboard that greets visitors to the city.

Mike also got to meet their son, Alex, for the first time. Alex is a rambunctious 14-month old with a predilection for avocado. Luckily, he looks like Fiona. Here are some quick pics of the group at a very nice breakfast joint in Sandton, one of the tonier Jo’burg suburbs. Of course, it’s in a mall, just like everything here.
