Baby Ian
Yesterday around 9pm, my nephew Ian Jenkins was born. Kathy had a long, very hard labor but everyone is healthy and doing very well. She has proven herself to be made of iron. I recommend to all that you never get in a fight with her because she can take a lot more pain than you can -- period.
Ian is 7 lbs, 9 oz and 20 in long with tons of jet black hair. He was happily asleep during our whole visit. I have more pictures that I'd love to share, but Kathy has forbidden me from posting any of her.

Ellis and I visited Ian at the hospital today. Ellis insists on calling him "Baby Eephan" instead of Ian. She seems to be confusing the name with my friend Amy's son Ethan.
Ellis also announced to her Tante that "Baby Eephan" was "too cute" and that she thought he was smart and very sweet. When the nurse came in, Ellis asked every time the nurse checked a dial or a part of Kathy, "Tante, is that better?"
