The Twitter Experiment

As Ellis approached being born, Mike updated Auntie Tante (aka Kathy) and a few select others via text messages. If there were an argument for someone over 35 not texting while lacking sleep and in the middle of, um, a stressful event, this was it. Most concerning was, after Ellis arrived, there was a blackout as Beth and Mike took pictures and otherwise cooed over Ellis and Kathy freaked out wondering if something had grown wrong.

But as we're now in the 21st century, we're going to go in a different direction and use Twitter to updates those of you who are interested in Beth and Baby #2's progress.

(If you are over 35 and are wondering what Twitter is, it's a website that pushes short, inconsequential messages to people with nothing better to do than dig the lint out of their navels. Go here for more information. But we will use their power for good.)

If you use Twitter or want to start, follow us at @BabyO2nd. If you don't want to be bugged by Twitter on your smartphone, tablet computer, laptop, desktop, and so forth, you can check on us at this address.
