White House Easter Egg Roll
What we learned:
1) Figure out a way to park or approach the White House from the west to avoid an extra mile of walking.
2) Take the day off and wear shorts, a t-shirt and tennis shoes.
3) There is no such thing as too much sun screen for events like these.
4) Be in no rush to leave. If the Prez and 1st Lady are out and about, they may block the exit.
5) Best not to be 39 weeks pregnant.
6) The roll itself was started by Pres. Harrison and is really cute.
At one point, we asked Ellis if we should just leave and she started crying saying, "I want to see President Obama!" (Pic 2 is BHO waaaaaaay in the distance. So we did see him.) Another funny moment: she told me she had to go to the bathroom. When I said I didn't know where one was, she said, "I think there is one in Pres. Obama's house." Good point.
BTW, check out the video of the Easter egg roll on the left of the page. Ellis was enthusiastic, if not terribly accurate.
