Cinderella and Her Little Prince
We have been home for 2 days and are adjusting well. Anders went to the doctor today and was given a clear bill of health. He has lost only 5 ounces (to 7 lbs, 13 oz) since he was born and was pronounced beautiful by Dr. Sage. He also braved his shot and heel prick as well as could be expected. As for weight gain, I think he has taken his body weight in milk today. At this rate, I am going to easily transfer 15 lbs from me to him in the next few months.
Ellis came home early to play with Gabby and Izzy. They dressed her in a Cinderella costume, and Ellis felt like she had gone to heaven. She told Mike and I that she, in fact, was Cinderella and needed to wear the dress to bed. Here she is with her little brother, holding him for the first time. Cinderella and the prince had a bath later that evening -- Anders' first.

In another example of how wonderful Ellis' daycare is, take a look at what they prepared for Mothers' Day. There is a picture of me and Ellis in a homemade frame, a jewelry box that Ellis decorated, a handmade necklace that says "#1 Mom," and a plant. The best part, though, was the song. Ellis sang a Mothers' Day song for me with such focus and pride that it brought tears to my eyes. Even more touching was the look of pride in her face for making me so happy. Mike and I agree that we have never seen such a pretty, glowing smile on her face.
