Doctor Appt and Kackie & Pops Visit
We took Anders to his 2 week appointment. He was given high marks for weight gain, putting on almost 2 pounds since his last appointment to reach 9 lbs, 11 oz. He only added 1/4 of an inch in length, though.
As you can see, Anders still sleeps a lot. But in the last few days, he has started to get a lot more alert. So I commit this weekend to get you some shots of him with his eyes open, maybe one smiling. Have I mentioned that he laughs in his sleep? He started this on his 10th day, and the first time I saw/heard it, it totally freaked me out. So I dug around on the Internet and found that this is not common but not unusual either. A recent study found kids as young as Anders laughing in their sleep and determined that emotion develops much younger than we thought. But the question remains: what does a newborn find funny?
