Mike's Pics and Update
I just noticed that Mike had several great pictures on his phone that had not been downloaded, so here they are. None require explanation. They are all simply cute.
As you might know, I am now one week past due with the baby boy. I had a check-up yesterday and everything looks great. He has all the fluids and oxygen he needs to hang out in there for a couple more weeks. Also, apparently, I am having very light contractions every 10 minutes; but I feel nothing. They are also not progressing, so that could continue for a couple of weeks. Next Wednesday, I will see the midwives and discuss ways to push things along. But I am also going to accupuncture on Tuesday to do just that. I really want to avoid Castor oil.
The boy has aligned his sleep time with me. We clearly get tired together, but he is super sensitive to my waking up. If I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, he starts moving. He also is super duper active before I go to sleep 9-10:30. At this point, I am doing kick counts to make sure that all is well; and I will feel the requisite 10 kicks in less than 2 minutes.
Ellis is as sweet as ever. She just walked up to me and said, "Mommy, guess what. I love you." She is a super sensitive kid who gets very upset at the idea that either Mike or I are angry with her. When she sees us getting angry, she will get very nervous and say, "I don't want Mommy to be angry with me." Kackie says I did the same thing at that age. Ellis will also apologize for whatever made us upset many times over several hours, though not always immediately upon committing the infraction.
One other thing: she is getting much less shy. This kid gets lots of attention for being cute, smart, whatever and she eats it up.
