Playing with Friends
Last weekend, we did a terrible job planning for activities with Ellis. For one, it was supposed to be rainy and, for another, I was supposed to have a baby. Neither turned out to be the case. Luckily, we have good friends.
On Saturday, we dropped Ellis off with Mary and Craig to go to the park with Maeve. The girls met up with their friends Maisie and Joe and played the entire afternoon away. Ellis and Joe found an apple and spent a great deal of time trying to solve the mystery as to who it belonged to and where it came from. They asked everyone coming in and out of the park if it belonged to them. Ellis was so wiped out by the whole affair that she fell asleep in my lap 1/2 hour before her normal bedtime. Success!
On Sunday, Cassandra dropped Alastair over while she went to a fundraiser. Ellis and Alastair played every game in the house in under 2 hours.
