Special Mommy-Daughter Date

Last week, Ellis and I went on a special afternoon date to the carousel, the fountain at the Sculpture Garden and to the Smithsonian's Folk Life Festival. Ellis rode the carousel alone for the first time and told me to tie the rope around me and "hold on tight."


Here Ellis is coloring in her passport. The folk life festival is looking at the Peace Corps and has a children's area with activities to teach them about the Peace Corps. The passport leads you through the activities, and once you get 5 stamps in it, you can get a prize. We got through 3 activities before having to leave.
