Caroline Visits for the Day
My cousin Caroline is a year younger than me and a year older than Kathy. We were close to her, much like Ellis is already to Allee. Caroline and her husband Eric stayed at Seaside but came to Pensacola for the day with her kids Jack, Michael and Mia. Mia is 6 months younger than Ellis and 6 months older than Allee -- great potential for bonding there. And her boys are about as sweet (and good with babies) as any boys I have ever met.
Here is Michael with Anders. Michael is about nine, and he has recently taken up piano.
And here is Jack, who is eleven. Jack is an avid soccer player and braved a jellyfish attack while at the beach. He got hit under the arm -- not too bad.
We all used to go to the Gulf Coast every summer -- grandparents, uncles, aunts, tons of cousins, and sometimes a friend or two. We haven't done this in a long time, over a decade. This was the first trip we took since all the cousins have gotten married and had kids. Crazy.
