Tosha

One of the wonderful things about Just Us Kids was we met Latosha. Tosha was Ellis' favorite caregiver in the infant room, and we would gossip together when I showed up to get Ellis at the end of the day. We stayed in touch and, when Anders came along, she agreed to watch him when I had to go back to work until he got into daycare. She was amazing: flexible, sweet, supportive. She named him "Whopper" because he is so big.  And as is so often the case, he would do something new for her WAY before he did that for us -- trying to sit up, giggling, etc.

She took Anders everywhere, including to her grandmother's house to be spoiled. (In fact, I need to score me an invite to her grandmother's house for Friday dinner.)  Because of his time with Tosha, AA has fans all over this neighborhood. Tosha also would give people trouble when they asked if she was the sitter. She'd say, "What are you talking about? This baby is mine! Can't you see that he has my cheeks?!?" Anders just loves spending time with her and would smile and laugh when she arrived in the morning. I know he is wondering when he gets to see Tosha next. I am wondering the same thing. We need to make that happen soon...
