Easter Ellis
There were multiple Easter festivities last weekend. What I can't believe is I got no pictures of our Seder. :-( But Ellis did a great job, especially with the 1st of the 4 questions and with the plagues -- all while Anders crawled around. Here is a picnic she made while I prepared the Seder (as close as I got).
This was the dinosaur egg hunt at Glen Echo's Living Classrooms. Maisie and Ellis are posing with the egg they got to take home. We are still finding the sparkles from them all over the place (in the carpet, kids' hair, etc).
Then Claire invited Ellis to join her for Easter brunch and an Easter egg hunt at the Army-Navy Club in Arlington. We didn't even know it was there, but near the Pentagon is a lovely club built for Army and Navy vets but now open to the paying public too.
Slightly off topic, but from the same weekend, Ellis has gotten so creative. She puts together great games and art projects all on her own. To wit: below are butterfly wings that she put together from stationary. I was cooking and Ellis asked for tape. She then taped two pieces of stationary together and called them butterfly wings. I asked how they worked and she said she needed string to show me. So I got string and cut off the length she requested. Next thing I knew, she showed me this...
