4th of July

We had a hot but very nice 4th of July. Our wonderful neighbors let Ellis come over for a swim after our outing to see "Brave."  After the movie, Ellis told me that there were parts she didn't understand and she wanted to "discuss the scary parts, only the scary parts."  She asked me a long series of really excellent questions about the movie and we had a great discussion. 

When we got to Gabby and Izzy's house, Ellis wanted to tell them about the movie and it took great self-restraint to stay quiet so that they could enjoy the movie on their own.

One political note on this Independence Day: keep in mind that this blog is brought to you by people who pay the same taxes everyone does but we are denied representation in Congress.  Here's hoping that one day patriotic Americans across the country will be offended enough by this to stand against it.
