Celebration in the Oaks

We also made it to Celebration in the Oaks at New Orleans' City Park.  When I was a kid, it was a bunch of pretty lights in the oak trees.  Now they open everything up, have live music, and build a massive model train with all the neighborhoods in New Orleans...

That includes bumper cars...

...Storyland, a children’s fairy tale themed playground that features twenty-six larger than life storybook exhibits for kids to climb on, slide down, or pretend within, including this pirate ship...

...and a giant dragon slide.  That is Ellis flying down.

And of course there is a carousel.  Gorgeous one too.  And Anders ate it up, until it was over.  More tears...
