Happy 5th Birthday
Ellis had her 5th birthday party a week ago. Her friends from the neighborhood and kids of family friends and Just Us Kids friends joined us at the house. That is 13 kids between 3 and 5. Here is the whole party, eating king cake. Did I mention it was a Mardi Gras themed party? The cake was from La Dolce Nola, a bakery owned by a friend from high school. It was the first king cake I've had since childhood that wasn't drowned in sugar. And they put extra babies in the cake for the kids to find.
And everyone made their own Mardi Gras masks.
Two other awesome gifts: a messenger bag from Maeve and a great apron from Bubba. I need to also post a picture of Ellis in her super comfy new nightgown from Gram, gorgeous dress from Tante and cool purse from Kackie and Pops.
