We went to a new park. It is not the nicest park, but Ellis likes the rope pyramid. So we gave it a try. First, Ellis perfected her swinging alone -- and told me I am an excellent teacher. ;-)
Then Anders did some climbing.
Then we challenged the bad guys with swords made of sticks accompanied by a loud "hi-yah"!
A note on Anders: He is starting to really try to communicate, repeating words much more often. In one afternoon, he came out with "man," "stick," "stay," and "guapo," which apparently he has heard quite a lot. He also knows a bunch of numbers from one to ten and from uno a diez.
A note about Ellis: she has begun to dress herself. She picks out her own clothing, right down to the barrettes, and then dresses herself. She then walks down the stairs and very proudly presents herself and her new ensemble to the rest of us.
When we returned home, there was much snuggling.
