Post Bar Mitzvah Socializing

The day after the Bar Mitzvah, we went to the park in the morning with cousin Leslie, who joined Ellis on the swings.
 Anders made a friend.
Then we headed back to cousin Terrie's and kicked back with some lox and bagels...and shrimp and jambalaya with pork sausage.  We are not the strictest family when it comes to the kashrut laws.
 And then we traded stories...
The kids and I went for a dip in the pool with Brandon.  Ellis was very interested in Brandon and tried very hard to impress him.  What was cute was how much Brandon engaged her.  Tyler was a lot of fun too, but was quite effective at ducking pictures too.  He acts much older than his age and was great with kids and grown-ups alike.
That night we returned to finish off the food left over from brunch.  Be warned, we O's will not miss an opportunity to eat your food.  So don't offer if you don't mean it.  Terrie and Tom brought out of box of cars that Ellis and Anders took out one by one as spread out over the entirety of the living area.  My guess is Terrie and Tom will find cars under furniture whenever they move it.
We went for a walk and saw the lovely river view.
And here is the gang: Kackie, Tyler, Terrie, Brandon and Tom with Ellis and Anders in front.  Anders is of course by Tom because he is a grown man and Anders is always near the closest grown man.  Ellis is by Terrie who gave her a little Jewish troll, one of the funnier things I have ever seen.
A note from Ellis while in Florida...
And I mentioned that I have no pictures from the actual Bar Mitzvah, but Ellis drew this one, which is pretty spot on.  Ellis is sitting on the bottom left.  I am in the middle on the right with Anders sleeping on me.  Brandon is with the Rabbi at the bimah.  And that is a faithful rendering of the ark in the background.
