Soccer!

Ellis started soccer lessons last Saturday.  Here she is getting fitted for new cleats, and Anders wanted some soooo badly.  He didn't know that there were a pair of Ellis' hand-me-down cleats waiting for him at home.

If you are wondering why NBC is spending a fortune on soccer, you need look no further Carter Barron on a Saturday.  This picture does not do it justice -- there were thousands of kids covering acres of land all morning.  And that was at one of many sites in Washington, DC.

Here is Ellis prepping for practice.

And with her coach, Coach Joseph.  Ellis did very well.  Her ball handling is quite good and she is pretty fast.  But she is so hyper competitive that if she wasn't the best at something, she would dissolve into tears.  So we are going to work on that -- on having fun.

Later in the day, she was practicing with Mike, who kicked a line drive into Ellis' face and knocked a loose tooth right out.  I asked Ellis if it hurt and she said, "No, it didn't hurt.  And now the tooth fairy is coming.  That's awesome, so what's the problem?"
