Lucia's Birthday Party

Lucia turned 5 this week and her mother, Samantha, hosted the hoity-toitiest birthday tea party any 5-year old has every had.  Now Samantha is an amazing cook and an impeccable hostest.  She is also a federal worker who has been furloughed, giving her more time to prep for this unbelievable party.  She prepped 6 different kinds of sandwiches, shaped and with crusts cut off.  She baked beautiful cookies.

She laid out nice tea china for the kids.

Including the little kids.

She got costume jewelry and let the kids chose which they wanted.

She set up a hat decorating station, including flowers she cut out herself by the dozen.

The party favor bag had an actual ceramic tea cup and saucer.  It was ridiculously lovely.
