Christmas in New Orleans
I have not posted for more than 3 months. (It has been a rough several months.) But we are back and catching up. First up, the kids with Santa. We went to Tubman for the picture and didn't even have to stand in line. Plus the picture pisses off Megyn Kelly, which is priceless.
We spent a week in New Orleans for Christmas and made two trips to the Audubon Zoo. We could have gone every single day and not gotten enough. Here is Ellis with Uncle Bobby...The kids with Ian on the Zoo Train. They sat by themselves for this picture, but I scooted in once the train got moving. Lots of cuddles.
The Loup Garou (in the background) again figured prominently. This time, Anders was the obsessed party.
Taking a break from the playground.
We got together and played with Zoe and Ethan. Ellis still can't stop talking about Zoe.Blowing bubbles in Kackie's back yard, waiting for Allee and Baylee.
And there was much delight when they arrived.
Super excited on Christmas morning...
It was so nice to see the boys playing together. Last time we saw Ian, they were too young to really interact in play. And while Anders attacked Ian a fair amount with hugs that might have been a little much for Ian, the love was nice to see.
The end of a fantastic trip, saying goodbye to Kackie and Pops. The kids can't wait to go back. In February, we were in the car on the way to gymnastics when Anders said, "Mommy, can we get on a plane and see Kackie and Pops?" Ellis enthusiastically seconded the motion.
