Sonoma Trip, Part II: The House

We stayed in a 6 bedroom house in the hills by Sonoma.  It had balconies, a pool, a horse farm next door and an incredible view...

Each morning, we would get breakfast on the balcony.  The morning would be spent in town or on a hike or some other activity.  Some activities were taken together and sometimes we'd split up.

After lunch, some kids would nap, others would draw or read and some adults would run out for a wine tasting or hike.  Then the kids would jump in the pool for a couple of hours.  The pool was often quite chilly, but the adults were far more affected than the kids.

Then it was time for dinner and back to the porch.

Some adults might read to the kids.

After the kids went to sleep, we would hang out on the balcony with wine and talk, laugh.  It was much cooler and windier at the house than in town, so we would wrap ourselves in blankets.  The house near the top of a hill that I really wanted to climb but was fenced off.  Such a shame -- it would have made for a lovely and relaxing hike.  We also bordered the Cline vineyard.  All the grownups also got a night for a date too.
