I chaperoned Anders and his class on a field trip to the Botanical Garden. It was fun and completely exhausting despite the 2-to-1 kid-to-adult ratio. I do not know how the teachers do it.
DCPS packed the kids and the adults a lunch to go. It was solid. Turkey sandwich, salad, apple and juice.
The Botanical Garden has this beautiful set of towns and trains wrapping through the garden. It is fantastic. Anders is standing in front with the book he insisted on taking with him, "Awkward Aardvark."
We then ran around the Capitol Christmas Tree until the kids got their yayas out.
Then it was a metro ride back to school.
