I took Ellis to see some of the starts of the Columbus Opera perform some of our favorite arias. She absolutely loved it.
The line up was at a lovely restaurant where we started with a 4-course dinner. Ellis tried pate and found she has a taste for the finer things.

Ellis was so excited by this that she has asked to watch YouTube videos of opera scenes ever since. Carmen remains a particular favorite after Kathy's rendition of "
L'amour est un Oiseau Rebelle." Interestingly, Kathy said she just "wasn't feeling" the song when she performed it. And even still, she blew us away. Several people in the audience commented that it was amazing to watch such a small person make so much (really beautiful) sound.
And we got home in time for books with the boys.
