Spice lives up to her name. She is not cuddly like her sweet sister Sugar. But she is with Anders. She just walks up and sits in his lap.
We went to the
Mexican Cultural Institute of DC for their Day of the Dead exhibit.
For Halloween, I dressed up as Wednesday Addams, the grown professional.
Ellis was a schoolgirl zombie and Anders was a "
loup garou." Not a werewolf, mind you. He was insistent on being a loup garou like the
one at the Audubon Zoo. I suggested that he wear beads or a French flag pin to help distinguish the costume, but he thought it should be obvious.
Here the kids are with their friend from school, Joey.
We wondered into the Tubman gym where there were games and awards of candy.
Then we ran into a werewolf on the way home -- it was our friend Alastair.
Sugar has her own Halloween challenges. She was trapped for a while behind two threatening balloons.
