Scott, Hollee, Allison and Baylee Visit DC

Scott and family came to visit us in DC and stayed over the 4th of July.

We picnicked in the back yard.

And piled on to the air mattress for some books.

And went to the Smithsonian's Folk Life Festival to learn about the history of the circus and how to be a clown.

We got frozen yogurt and played at the fountain.

We set off fireworks in the front yard and then abandoned the neighborhood to those with much bigger, much larger fireworks who set them off late into the night.

We went to the Marriott in Rosslyn VA and got a swim in before...

...heading back to our room, which...

...had a pretty amazing view of the fireworks by the Washington Monument.

We also celebrated Baylee's 7th birthday with a special dinner at the Kennedy Center.

  It was a great trip. Ellis and Anders said they can never get too much time with thier cousins!
